Most Visitors Are on Mobile

Most people looking for a contractor are on their phone, often standing in front of the problem: a leaking pipe, a broken gate, storm damage on the roof. They're not going to read a paragraph to find your number. They're looking for something to tap.

Google needs to know what you do and where you do it. Your customer needs the same thing, plus one more step: an obvious way to reach you right now.

Where the Number Needs to Live

  • In the top navigation, visible without scrolling
  • Repeated at the top of every service page
  • Near the bottom of the page, for anyone who scrolled through everything first
  • As a tappable link, not just text, so mobile visitors don't have to copy and dial manually

A sticky call button that stays visible while scrolling can help on mobile, but only if it's used with restraint. Loud, permanent overlays annoy people. A clean, persistent tap-to-call option doesn't.

What About People Who Can't Call

Not every visitor wants to talk yet. Some are comparing a few companies at 11pm and would rather send a quick request. A short estimate form covers that group without forcing everyone into the same path.

The goal isn't picking phone or forms. It's removing every unnecessary step between "I need this done" and "I just contacted someone."
